Sonic's new 2004 RotoMill Colloid Mill and Grinding Mill is designed to provide superior shearing and grinding. Our Rotors and Stators are designed with a patented and proven multi-angular system. There are 3 shear points that subject material to a higher degree of grinding than conventional mills. Undispersed material is forced into a cavity formed by a spinning Rotor and fixed Stator; centrifugal force propels the material to the outside of the Rotor, causing intense hydraulic shear that breaks agglomerates and homogenizes the solids and liquids.

Benchtop Colloid Mill and Grinding Mill Systems

Sonic's Benchtop Colloid Mill measures only 18 x 18 inches. It uses a 115 volt, 1 phase AC motor for convenient electrical hookup. This mill is used extensively for validation trials, re-formulation test work in the lab, and process development. These units are custom fabricated to meet your needs and can be built as a fully automated system with feed pump, PLC controls, instrumentation, etc. It scales up directly to any of our mills, including the new 2004 RotoMill designs.
